So my day job is worki g for tesco and im up at 3am start at 4am so on my way to work this morning came across a fallen tree not surprised with the wind we had last nite and the fact that the tree is rotting so the trees part way over the road not a main road but a back road how would be resposible for the tree and could anyone go along and remove the tree from the road and claim the wood for them selfs without getting into truble with land owner and the old bill

Thanks andy will post some pics up when i can figure out how to

the council or contractor the council use is responsible to get it off the road and pavement and if its not a council tree they will leave all brash logs in i presume its a farmers field and it will be up to him what he does with brash logs etc so if you want them i would try and find out who the landowner is and ask him be quick though wouldnt be suprised if its already been cleared

Round here the council lads turn up and take the big bits away and chip the rest into the hedge bottom. If you can get there before them it just saves them some work and nobody seems bothered.
