It comes off clockwise:001_rolleyes::lol:

You mean you have to tighten it up to get it off, whatever next ? I assumed he knew that as he had the clutch off not long ago which made me think of the oil pump engagement which might also be the reason it is now a pig to remove :thumbup1: It sounds like time for a bit of brute force and ignorance I think :thumbup:

It caught me out as well. Take the spark plug out and put a bit of clean rope in to stop the Pistons moving. Then undo the nut by giving it a little in a clockwise motion. It has to be that way otherwise the nut would come undone when the sprocket moves round with daily use....

You forget theat some do not have your mechanical skills, it just seemed logical that the OP had forgotten the fact it spins off clockwise:001_rolleyes:

i knew it spins off clockwise but it will not budge at all.have the rope in as per tip which always works well.

could it be impact gun time or anything else?:001_huh:

I have never needed to use anything bat a 1/2 inch drive tommy bar and suitable socket on all the ones I have done.

Just get the saw on the deck, firmly hold the saw down and lift the bar, I can't believe you can't shift it as these saws are amongst the easiest - you didnt use thread lock on it did you?
