Hi Everyone

I have recently bought a Rayco rg series 2. I have a rough idea how to sharpen the teeth, I have a normal grinder and a diamond grinder for the angle grinder. Does anyone have these teeth and can explain what shape they have to be? or even better have a photo or two? any help would be great!

Thanks

As far as I'm aware you have to try to replicate the new teeth, ie a flat bottom and a right or sharp angle to the side of the tungsten.

Personally, it's too much like hard work, I just buy new ones!

Does nobody braze on new tips?

I found by grinding them down you alter the distance they stick out and change the performance of the machine tremendously,

I used to be able to re braze a set of 24 teeth in the time it took for the misses to cook the tea.

If you buy the tips in the states you can get them for under a pound a piece.

I ran ran two grinders one 66 hp and one 25 hp five days a week for seven years I can't imagine just useing them and buying new when they are blunt.
