Oaklay that looks great, is that a winch for advancing the saw? I'm thinking of adding one, does it just pull a wire fixed at the end of the mill?

 

 

Thanks, no winch on ours. We only really mill hardwood and I think you really need to be pushing the trolly along to feel the resistance on the saw. If u do add a winch to yours could you let me know what it's like? Cheers

Not really any difference to feeling the resistance when using an Alaskan and a winch on that is a godsend. Still feel the resistance but much easier job alround
