Is there any way you can plug/hide the fixing bolt holes? I like the construction although it wouldn't suit me as I can't sleep with a toe board, being tall.

Plug cutter, use off cuts of the timber if still around.

 

Lidl doing a couple of nice little plug cutter sets at the moment. £4 set and go up to 16mm. OK for occasional use. :)

we havnt plugged the holes yet for two reasons, 1- Dan wont be staying there long,and will need to dismantle the bed again before long, and two I havnt had five minutes to cut any yet,,lol, eventually the headboard ones will be plugged but the side rail ones left.
