Me too, but whereabouts in Dorset, i grew up in the wimborne area.

the tree was 60ft max but the crown had severe dieback for obvious reasons. not alot of life left in the old girl. the tree was located near bere regis so not too far from wimborne

wicked, i did a dismantle on a lime that was shot after i came down we felled the pole and the hinge snapped at about a foot and a half, i reckon we could have pulled it over between us without touching it with a saw.

 

yours was taller though and there isn't much sound wood at all, good work mate

suprisingly the hinge held, i half expected it to come over as soon as the saw tickled it
