Morning, posting this from our site in town.

Could some-one please help i.d this mushy mush at the foot of one of these oaks we are deadwooding.

I'm wondering if it is Meripilus 'hen of the woods'?

I'm having trouble with the orientation of the fruiting body and the point of attachment to the tree. Are we looking at the underside? Or some tops and some underneaths?

A little of everything.

Once again, council workers gave the shroom a good kicking as that is the preferred method of dealing with fruiting bodies so it seems.
