Autumn reflections will only last a couple more months in the coast redwoods. Then the rains will fill the rivers.

This image needs Full Screen more than most.

Again .. my favorite time of day, the last hour. We can probably just speculate the age of the tiny redwood soaking in a few more rays. It could be 50 years or 200 years in that depth of understory.

Another water reflection photo from Redwood National Park area. It was the last hour of daylight and Chris wanted to try out his new camera. This seemed like a good place to let him practice. About 1/2 hr. later is was too dark for photos. the green and yellow left is bigleaf maple and the red and orange is vine maple. Those are common in these redwood parks.

Autumn in redwoods. There's fog in this week's forecast ... time for another drive to the redwood coast. Thinking Thursday and Friday, and maybe Saturday too.

The forest floor has become much more colorful this month after old needles shed and rain saturated for extra color. This is a favorite resting spot along a Boyscout Tree trail.
