:thumbup1:I have a thing for Harvesters. I like feller-bunches but for me the robotic grab, fell, sned and cross cut of a harvester is quite hypnotic. You do like your Swedish Logs...the Kelly kettle combo looks like a sort of rustic jet engine:biggrin:

Just thought I'd try it as an experiment. Boiled the storm kettle in about 10 seconds:)

looking at your photos, is that treewood harvesting you use, thought i recognised the vw van. We used them years ago in north essex for a thinning job. Cant remember their names, father and son team, at the time his son was then learning to use the harvester whilst dad used the forwarder. If it is, when you see them again tell em nigel at lofts hall (at the time) says hi.

Hi Nigel, you are quite right. The chap in the photo is Jake (little) Fish, he and his dad John (big) Fish are Treewood Harvesting. Brilliant guys, (although John is a complete fruitcake), and a thoroughly professional outfit. I got them in to do the conifers this year as the previous contractors completely trashed the place.

They also buy most of my charcoal!
