Which wood burning stove?

Its a reasonably old house (50's)which had a new face of bricks on 3 of the 4 sides to match an extension. This was done around 15 years before we moved there. It should have cavity insulation behind the new bricks right? But the biggest wall is still the original brick with no cavity or insulation. Was thinking of getting someone to fit external insulation but was put off by the price. Could I do it myself? I've got access to scaffolding(qwickstage) which should come in handy. Is it really expensive?

 

The rooms are 2.5 metres high. Cheers
