I think quality, in the type of chipping work you are thinking about, will be king. I have had a very interesting conversation with a forester of one of the largest estates in the UK today, and he was saying that he doesn't want 300+ tonnes per day chipped, but wants a guy with a smaller but better quality chipper to come in and do little and often, so there is definitely a market for your idea. Unfortunately, he is not in your area but to be honest, I wish he was, so that you could have a great start.

I have been contract biomass chipping for the last two days, I have been using the clients tractor (a 210hp new holland) to speed up production, and it certainly does! I can do 100 ton a day feeding it with mine....

I run a heizohack 8-400 with a valtra and roofmount

You are right most estates only have storage of up to 100 tons per chip session

The 8-400 is defenatly the one to go for

I can't remember the number, it was chipped to 210HP.. It could take a 12" log without kicking in the stress control, my 6400 can just about do an 8" log.
