I wouldn't worry to much as it can be for various reasons,where the hosting server is located,where the ISP is based etc...

We get quite a lot of american visitors to our site, but we have a .com address - your website is obviously very findable! Good SEO? or same name as an american company perhaps?

Yeah well I suppose it's a good thing! And thanks I was wondering what other tree surgeons thought of the website as when it comes to technology etc I'm lost!!

As its been said before, it'll be for a number of reasons. Also who did the site? was it a local team or a national team? it maybe on their site and thus getting more clicks.

 

Also when you go to a search engine and type in a company name it'll bring them up all over the world. This could be the case here, or its just got a very good SEO (thought about franchising the company in the USA???)
