Lloyds Ariel Mower

Post 5 years too late, but I have two of these. A four blade (ex-council), and a seven blade owned from new from the 80s.

To correct hedgesparrow, Lloyds never made a 6 blade or indeed an 11 blade Ariel. I have an original manual, which came with the machine. 4 blade or 7 blade were the only options. Rough cut mowers, designed to cut long, wet grass. (Brilliant machines).

Note machine number in the post is 1684. My 7 blade is machine number 1648, the 4 blade is number 1687. Cannibalised a machine for spares some years ago, numbers in between.

Never found a machine with a serial number below 1600 or above 1700. Surely Lloyds built more than 100 Ariels?
