Makita Dcs520 with broken casing for bumper spike

A bit of precision drilling with a 3mm drill and some chemical metal. I did a similar job on my electric plane when I dropped it and it has lasted well. It was a bit fiddly but worth doing. Glued in place with the chemical metal and drilled through the holes and a couple of self tappers through into the parent metal. You could reinforce it with the added plate as well.

If you fabricated a bracket and mounted it to the chain catcher slot, you could mount the roller-type catcher. Oh btw, your chain catcher is upside down, a slack chain will rip it off before de-railing in its current setup.
