I cannot be sure first time I started it myself was after I put aspen in it. I was told it was fully functional when I bought it, off someone trusted so I would assume it's since switching? thanks

Aspen will not cause problems, but neither is it so good that it cures pre-existing issues.

I reckon a good service is in order. Once the saw is in good order it will stay that way with Aspen.

Turned out the saw had heaps of problems; a leak in the actual oil pump it had a hole in it!? problems with the coil and needed new gaskets in the carb. It was sold as 'fully working and in good condition' off a 'trusted seller' but they would have definitely known the saw was faulty. :cussing:

Anyway I've been put off getting any saws second hand now but got a refund and went and bought a new 461 to console myself, very pleased with the decision its a very good saw and happily using aspen.

I put some Aspen in my old Dynamac, it's been stood for nearly 2 years with no fuel in. It started eventually but it runs rough although it will rev now I have twiddled a bit. I've got a carb kit coming as the pump diaphragm looks about shot and then it will be back in good condition.
