Schliesling 200 roller problem

Check the air gap from the flywheel speed sensor and fly wheel it's self. It's located behind the air filter when you flip the bonnet. Also behind the roller speed adjuster is the hydraulic valve block there is generally a orange light on one of the valves when the rollers are ready to operate.

 

Thats gets my vote. Use one quite often and it had the same issue.

 

If you hold the button down does it do the same thing?

Sorry just reread your original post, your symptoms are a little different to the issues on the machine i use.

 

Rollers just turning very very slowly yeah? If your sure its running at full RPM then check that sensor that James mentioned. Must be something silly as you say.

I'd be confident on the sensor. When it's running and you have pressed the roller button to 'go' can you see an orange led illuminated on the back of the valve block? Also another way to diagnose the sensor is to check if the digital display in the key box is giving you an rpm figure.
