I've used my lo a couple of times and I'm struggling to get it to self tend even at height. It's does when I'm not hanging in my harness but when I do, it doesn't seem to self tend like the an does. Any thoughts?

What size rope are you using, and do you have the right size cam in? It should self tend easily at height, but even with 10ft of rope beneath it should tend ok. At low heights the trick is to make sure you pull the line directly inline with the lockjack

I've been using tachyon and using the 11-12 cam. I've been pulling straight into the device but it just bunches up above the lj. Does it have to been used a few times before it's settles in?

It takes a little wearing in ime. How much rope are you pulling from above? A little bit is better than a full arm's length to start off with until you get used to the action

Thanks for your advice Steve. And Dan I tend to pull as high as I can reach. I'm guessing there is a knack to it and only using it will help

Pulling as high as you can reach certainly won't help, specially with a supple rope

That's a lockjack top tip, it sounds obvious but if your coming from a prussik it doesn't feel natural so it'll take a little time to do it properly
