How did you get on?

The meeting went well its a mixed use site / shed, some firewood production for personal use some for commercial all coming from Arb operations they decided that no rates were payable rightly or wrongly but I'm not going to argue!!

What sort of set up can u have for less than £6000 rateable value ?

I am an arb contractor producing around 250-300m3 per year, some for personal and family use and some for retail sales, firewood only makes up 2% of my annual turnover and is all 'salvage' from arb contracting jobs and not bought in to resale.

The building is a slatted timber sided pole barn and no services are on site so it's only used for splitting ,drying and storage.
