Nothings treated with the arsenic mix these days. Thats why stuff doesnt last in the ground these days. .

 

Actually some things still can be but not fencing, The modern stuff is just an organic copper salt and as you say doesn't last. Even the old cca stuff was often not treated well so only a thing skin was protected.

you cant sell them if they are treated timber or got paint cement residue on them which most scaffold planks do.

If you can find a factory in ireland making boards they often have a metre off cut after making new boards.
