Haha, just checked, that's the total length-ish. Sorry, 3.54. Must have been a quick glance.

 

Ok I see what you are saying. Headcam views can be deceptive. They rarely give a feeling of where the climbers weight is or the angle or extent of a limb or leader. That right side stub, which was probably more than 5 inches would've been giving me the best support to hold my position. Margins are a good policy, but still no reason for my flipline to slip over. Rest assured, routine stuff....everything in that video.

 

Yeah I throw my climb line down to retrieve the rigging line when need be, but not on that job. That wouldve been a lot of line to be pulling up and down each time. You do catch a glimpse of a retrieval system I had in place for a handful of branches at 1.50. The guys were able to flick the line to me easy enough other than that.

 

Ash tree removal is the nuts and bolts job I believe.
