Heading out to California later on in the year for a 3 week holiday and was hoping to climb some giants, anyone on here done the same? Don't want to be taking all my gear and want it to be legit so was hoping to hire a guide or something. So far Google is coming up short. Found a few similar companies in Oregon, but we're not heading that far north. May post a similar request over on treebuzz but thought I'd try here first.

 

Also, anyone that has been over that way have any recommendations?

Mario might well help you out with directions or even a meet up but check out my thread; visiting redwoods. Mario has posted lots of good advice on there complete with photos, accommodation etc. if you're thinking of climbing though think again. It's very hard to get permission.
