Making a winch?

Have been considering making up some sort of portable winch using a super winch and a leisure battery mounted to some sort of a trolley, looks like you can get a solar trickle charger too. Just wondered what people thought of this and weather it's worth doing or not?

Jon, they are good winches on a truck but I thought the Op wanted options for a lightweight portable rig?

I did want a light weight portable rig, but not sure it'll work, just gonna have to bite the bullet and get either the Lewis or the portable winch. Was trying to think of a way to reduce the cost a bit as neither of the aforementioned winches are cheap
