it all depends how hard you want to work and what amount of risk you are willing to take in business and how good you really are. folk will talk down mogs saying they cost a fortune and how can they be justified, some folk wont buy a 2k transit tipper thinking its a bit risky. there are different levels of any industry. i took the jump 7 years ago and borrowed 25k when i was 26 years old, i didnt own a house and lived in a tin shack. i thought i had talked about it long enough and just went for it. i paid that back under a year, yes i had breakdowns and bills, and grief i didnt expect, you go from being a climber to gaffer/mechanic/labourer/secretaty/accountant/dogs body etc. but it can be done, but you have to put the hrs in. so i sold that kit and borrowed another 50k(880 quid a month) it hasnt been easy but now it is all bought and paid. now i have a wife and 2 kids, i am glad i put the graft in when i was younger/fitter and a lot keener. if you want something go for it, i never had any work for my mogs when i bought them, i just bought them. this isnt a dress rehearsal, we get one chance of life(as far as i know) so make the most of it. i still get a kick out of driving into the yard and seeing the mog and valmet there. and that buzz drives you on to work hard and keeps me motivated.
