is was just about your great avatar - what fungi was it that absorbs the nematodes - was it oyster fungus?

 

There are many fungal nematode predators, but yes the most well known is the Oyster, its where the toxin gets its name Ostratin, paralyzes for digestion besides the lasso traps. pretty cool huh.

 

Its all about supplementing nitrogen, all living things need a carbon to nitrogen ratio and wood is low in N, its why aphids excrete sugary sap, they can only absorb so much as they must have the N/c balance too.

 

Life is a complex joy to study aint it.
