Modifying a side eject ride on?

Recommended Posts

I have a side ejector ride on mower, the ones you see all over with different branding on them, I think its an electrolux brand. I have a collection tube and two boxes for the rear end, and find the tube will block fairly regularly even with short grass clippings. This is especially so if i cut a patch that is still a little damp, say in the shade when the rest of the lawn is in full sun.

Its a pain, as often you don't realise that its blocked until you notice the tyres are picking up clippings, or you come around for the next sweep.

Has anyone got a fix, or better yet a mod like some kind of fan assist?

btw, blades are sharp, deck clean, tube clean. if that helps?

where the two tubes meet just beside you, i leave the rubber clip off so i can crack open the pipes to see if it is blocked, obviously wont stop it blocking but easier to clean if you catch it early, if the mowers the same as mine they just dont like picking up wet grass!

if you do get a quick solution do tell cos unblocking it is a pain.
