I had a hydrasaw, it was OK for the log pile, ran off an old DB tractor.

 

Low speed but a ton of torque, hardly any vibe and as quiet as your power source.

 

You can run them off a JCB power pack

My Brother runs a underwater chainsaw ,think its a Stanley DS11 for concrete , but for on land yet again only for masonry he swears by ICS one's

EC Hopkins will give you good advice
