When selling wood chip for the power station we sell to someone like stobart who get paid off the power station but if I wanted to sell to them instead of stobart how would I go about selling to them I've already got the haulage sorted but which company do I contact about it.

Sorry if going on a bit .

You will need to get accepted on the sustainable register. Its a straight forward process and took us about 5 weeks from registration to acceptance. More details of the new scheme here.

John

Does this relate to industrial use only or will a supplier to a domestic user have to show that firewood/wood chip is sustainably sourced so that domestic user can claim rhi payments?

Thanks

D

Applies to all RHI payments where you need to prove fuel is supplied from a supplier on the registered sustainable fuel register. There is a loophole in respect of estate self supply but again it needs to be set up with the correct paper trail which includes a sustainable woodland management plan.

I was just wondering because I've just sent away 6 loads to the power station through another company in the last 2 weeks and got another 2 loads to go this week.

I think you will find it hard selling direct to the power station as there already putting in place the paperwork for compliance next year. The forms I have been filling in require my unique woodchip reg number to be entered which they verify with the sustainable suppliers register.
