stihl bar on t540xp?

Hi Guys,

 

I have just got a T540xp which came with a 14" bar, and I would prefer it to be on a 12".

 

Can I use the 12" bar and chain from my Stihl ms 192t without modification, Ie; correct spur/nose wheel and oil hole?

I don't know if the oil hole would line up as never tried it but I do know that length for length a husky bar uses more driver links that the equivalent Stihl

In 3/8" lo-pro/picco the Husky bars use more dl, yes.

 

Regarding the fitment of the bar, all I know is that the slot is the same 8.2mm, but otherwise they don't match up.

I don't know for sure if they can be modified to fit or not.
