Burning of tree waste - Republic of Ireland

Question

For you RoI based experts.

Is one allowed to burn tree cuttings as a result of clearings some windblown and felling some conifers?

Conifers (sitka spruce) are situated in a rear garden, about 12 in number, are 30 years old, some are down due to winter storms, others just need to be felled.

Is it your own garden and do you get on with the neighbours ? There are usually local by laws covering burning garden waste like what and when it can be burnt. Burning stuff can upset the neighbours, another good way is to play loud music late at night or get up really early to throw bottles into the recycling bin. :D
