Think in the first pic this is Mozza telling the gaffer it's going to take us a little longer......:)

 

 

Good work there DC, I couldn't tell Steve that it would take longer, you know what he's like ;-))

 

We must catch up... You going to the Arb show?

Yes we had to because it was so close to some houses & over a tidy garden we then rigged all branches & timber out ;)

You just have to charge plenty of cash to ease the pain :)))!!

Any after-effects of handling the ivy? Take any precaoutions for such?

No after-effects for me personally but one of the guys on the ground was allergic to ivy- Steve. I don't know how common this is but he's the only guy I've met to have that reaction. He'd come out in a terrible rash after handling the stuff.

 

We knew about him reacting to ivy before this job so he just kept clear of the stuff. Mostly he handled the rigging ropes. Mozza had put his back out just before this job so he had to avoid handling the heavy stuff- we were a right crew!

I've got the date in my calendar- mid September right? To be honest I've not decided. Think I'm holding out to see if the outfit I'm with at the moment want me to go.

 

I take it you are planning on going?

September is the APF show, the Arb show is the 6/7th of June at Cirencester ?

hell Dave you've shrunk or they are big un's..... Just to clarify, as you know, Its Paul that gets mardy if I tell him he's only getting two days spondulies for three days work...... No sense of humor these contractors!!!

 

What Paul didn't tell you, we had taken down another Sycamore earlier that day. Its just him getting narked because he can't keep up with all the money he's making me!

 

Will be at the show, manning the DART stand (Disaster Arborist Response Team) Please come along....
