Todays reccie climb (LSD and cerneARB)

Just a few photos of todays bank holiday..climbed this Quercus robur in Suffolk.We were not sure how high it was...my 35 meter rope did not reach the bottom when we got to the top.Weather held out too as they forecast thunder.Highest tree i have climbed to date..so feel proud.

Looks like a nice climb, where were you? Glad you're building your confidence too. :001_cool:

 

Wetherden Andy,tree was owned by local landowners and LSD got permission to climb it.

 

Yep got a real confidence boost to climb such a tall tree, veiw was fantastic.

 

Any ideas on height?

are they chainsaw protectors on your arms? and if they are how come your wearing them when not cutting? :confused1:

 

yes they are Joe, i wear them so i dont grazed/scratched to kingdom come on my arms...i know im a big girls blouse:001_rolleyes:

Height-wise around the 80foot mark at a guess, quite an achievement for you, did you do any limb walks?

 

No limb walks...should have done.Just glad i got that high that was the goal..were going back to do some more climbs on it and il do some them..one step at a time for me...get my confidence up.

oh right, would it not be comfier to just wear a long sleeved t shirt? just a thought :001_smile:

 

there all in the wash Joe, plus i still tend to find branches crawl up my arm even with long sleeves..think its a tree conspiracy:001_tongue:
