Any ideas what these are in the Crown of an Oak? I'd climb up and get some shots and possibly a segment but theres a bees nest in that there hole.!

How common on Oak are Fomes david?

5 or 6 individual colonisations on 3 oak species at Hampstead, so possibly fairly common I'd say
