Height?

By slatted do you mean 4" upright laths with say a 2" gap?

How level is the ground and what is the digging like?

Spec for the gate?

Your post is like saying how much to cut a tree down, its a big one.

how much would it cost for a fencing contracter to build a bog standard slatted fence about 25m round a garden, would be a gate aswell, anyone know roughly how much ?

Very hard to quote without a site visit, Whats there now, old fence? trees? . What height? type of psts? etc

£20 a metre single boarded or 30 if its double boarded, thats one at 1.8 m high and using 4x4 posts and 3 rails.more if the site is clay or obstructins.

Surely you are not saying that is an installed price!! I can get nearer £60 / meter for double sided installed at 1.8m

pretty straight forward,1.8 height, gate, overlap fencing if possible, ground is fairly level with minimal obstruction

Feather edge at 6ft, 4x4 posts you would be looking in the region of £50 / meter plus £100 for the gate done and finished

£50 - £55 per metre. 4" posts set in concrete at 6ft spacings. 3 rails and upright slats with 1" gap

Must admit i'm with biggar logs here i would of thought about 25ish quid per m as a min but shouldnae be far away at that, and that's using 4x4x8'6" or 9' posts

Best to phone some local fencers(or sawmills to get a price for timber) for a price as seem's to be fairly varible depending on where u are

Fairly easy to guesstimate the timber post's every 1.8m

3x rails @3.6m and boards depending on ur size ie 5" boards 1" overlap so board every 4" or 100mm
