Qts are doing a lot of clearing round my way at the minute. (Daventry)

They seem to be going ahead of the fencing boys clearing for them before the metal fencing goes up. I feel sorry for both gangs. Mind numbing job. What a waste of time and money that fence is.

Think I saw that, hell of a lot of pallisade if its right job. Who's doing the fencing

Qts have fencing and the de veg... Taking it all from martins at the min who are losing there framework contract.. doubt they are bothered though.. palisade around £120 a metre, 2.4m bays on normal size.. so £300 a bay is about right

Not really, stops kids getting on railways and also NWR putting up to stop theft and do there liability bit as a landowner..

As for mind numbing that a personal thing , but when de veg or fencer is prob making a grand a week plus .. not numbing when you look at bank account.. could be in a factory. that is mind numbing or reducing conifer hedges all day for a £100 every day... every man to there own

That's what put me off taking it on, there's a lot of outlay in materials i imagine sticking it in is easy just auger hole add a splash of concrete and bolt in panel

I have been involved in the qts deveg fence line and then the track side 6m to sky clearance . It can be mind numbing but also can have great sites or ones where you make no progress quickly

Very true.. you can get a mile of thorn to chew through or a mile of big trees to climb and fell. Its a big diversity of work, or is for the sites I deal with

I seem to get the miles up on miles of thorn on steep banks .

Ha Ha .. tell Damien you want some nice leaf fall sites,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
