550xpg carb failure

A while i posted a whats wrong with my 6 month old 550. Well after presenting with all the symptoms of an air leak its been diagnosed with a broken carb.

It has been fixed under warranty by Husky which is good. Husky are taking the carb because it's the first auto tune carb to just decide to die.

Anyway just a bit of a heads up if your 550/560 are starting running for a while and then not restarting your carb could be on way out.

Big thanks to Ross at Bradstocks for fixing it.

Interesting, I bought a 560xpg in October that seized after a month due to a faulty carb, so possibly not the first. Also the saws are likely to be a similar vintage so makes you wonder if there is a dodgy batch of carbs out there! Mine was fixed by under warranty by FR Jones and has been brilliant ever since.

I bought one of the first production run saws , a 2011 model . Had the carb changed within a week . Nothing went wrong they just said bring it in for an updated carb .......
