Vehicle recommendation - hedgelaying etc.

Hi all,

The cam belt on my Hyundai Santa fei has just gone pop and I have an estimate of £1000 to £2000 to fix it. If it's towards the top end of this I may well replace although it's been great for 6 years. 150000 on the clock. The car has been great for lumping around hedgelaying materials, sleepers etc as well as the kids. Any suggestions for family friendly off road able 4x4 would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

I've got a Nissan X-trail as my car. Competent enough off road, comfortable, tows well and gets 40mpg. Reliable too.

I've been thinking of an X-trail they seem like the best 4x4 for the money. I've got a shogun pinin its great but it would be useless to carry people and materials about

I'd definitely have another.

If you need a car to do more then get a L/R.
