Desperate times. Boots/Wellies PPE.

Good news I got offered a job. Bad news ,was required to have own PPE. priced up some boots and nearly cried as to how much it's all going to to cost. So should I beg,borrow and steal enough to get some boots or do I just buy a cheap and nasty pair of welly ones? Got a new pair of cheapish safety trousers on order just got gloves and helmet left and then hopefully may be able to talk fella round into letting me have job .

 

Also anyone know where I may be able to buy a secondhand/used pair of boots,gloves,helmets.? Newcastle region.

Shame got old 7s laying about. Just replaced my own which are a 10 but they don't keep your feet dry!

Ugh sods law lol. On a side note,Do the welly ones get better with wear or will they stay feet shredders? Cos at this moment in time ,I'd wear anything just to be able to start work.

I started off in wellies and they are OK.

The Stihl wellies aren't actually that bad, other than being a bit sweaty. Usually get a couple of winters out of a pair before they start to perish.

No experience in wellies bud.. There's some on eBay for £25 if your proper desperate.. If it gets your foot in the door shouldn't take long to save £80-£120 for mid range boots
