David, how far are you willing to travel, for voluntary work? Or indeed paid (personally I would not expect anyone to work for nowt). I remember the days way back when you're trying to get a start, but no one gives you the break. Fingers crossed, keep trying. :thumbup1:

Hi David.. I feel for ya bud. I'm 38 and originally am from a warehouse background but when all jobs went tits up decided I needed a diff career. I started off doing a training course in horticulture.Level 1 .Then I got bit by the outdoor bug. Lol when ya spent 15 years or son in freezers the british weather feels like a sunny breeze :). anyways I contacted my local wildlife trust and rather then be messed about via phone I went down and asked them what violuntary days they have. Since then I trained for over a year with the group .Got my chainsaw license (part funded rest saved for). Now all I got left is to find that job as I have now gotten a pretty good idea what the work entails.

All I can say dude is keep at it as there was a point when I never expected to ever leave warehousing.. G'luck :)

Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.
