Helmet communcations

This is what i have just set up and i was wondering what everybody else has.

 

I have just wired up a cheap set of Ebay motorcycle intercoms. Pros

allows me to talk to groundsman or other operators easily.

can have music playing via bluetooth from my phone.

can answer calls while in the tree(or using the chainsaw)without thumbling for a phone.

easily removed from the helmet if required.

and best of all only £50 for a pair.

Cons

none found as of yet.

Ya great idea and have just bid on a new set on fle-bay. Great saving on what stein etc want for there kit.

better i think stien have to buy a set of ptt radios and arborcom is all was on and only acts as a communication device

Only thing i'am concerned about would be the bit you put on your helmet catching on branches but for the money it's got to be worth a go?

havent had that problem yet i attached all the wires up itn to the helmet

just thought id upadate after a few weeks have barely charged the units despite a fairly hefty amount of use very usefull i just about every situation and have gained be a few jobs were phone calls needed to be answered there and then.

Great bits of kit, we use them as well and are very happy with them, also we mount the comms kits on a set of ear defenders and use them weekends offroading,
