I wonder if anyone can give a definitive answer on this. Common sense would suggest that 25;1 fuel/oil mix would give greater lubrication than 50;1. But I seem to remember from my biking days the manual saying "adding a bit for luck" would make the engine run lean and overheat. Not so common sense after all perhaps:confused1:.

Any thoughts ?

Modern synthetic oils usually say 50:1 . You are not doing the engine any favors by adding more oil . Quite the opposite . Loads of stuff about this on here if you do a search .........
