Stihl km90 hedge trimmer help.

Yesterday I brought a km90 long reach hedge trimmer the engine if perfect but the trimmer gear box has things missing but ??? What I think it needs 2x co rods spur gear and thrust plate. Anyone with any experience of taking one apart have any pics ? Or can anyone suggest a place for the parts ?? And any experience of things to look out for.

Take the cover off the head, take a photo and post it up here.

I haven't got it at home. I've taken the back off and there is noting in it except the small gear. I will try and get a picture but can you pm my your e mail address as I Havant got a grasp of posting pictures yet lol

If you bought that as working, send it back!

 

Parts are horrendous money for them. It will be cheaper to buy a working second hand head off ebay for around £100.

Did you buy it as spares or repairs, engine runs but blades dont turn? If so i assume the main gears are knackered and the other bits have been taken as spares.

If you turn the drive with a flat screwdriver does the small cog rotate? can you feel any tight spots or anything? I find it odd that someone has canibalised it for parts if the main gears worked.

The tool has been canabolised we just need to know what stuff is missing to put back in ? See above for picture

Yes the small cog rotates... But nothing else is there everything is missing
