If it is not reving fully the first thing to check is the fuel system. You have done that so now check the exhaust, it is possibly blocked. Blockage could be in the spark arrestor, the exhaust box, or the exhaust port.

 

If its a fourstroke, check the valve clearances.

It is 4 stroke when you pull the trigger fully in it bogs down and dies out I'll clean the exhaust this weekend. It has been run on 2 stroke by people at my company

Some of them need two stroke mix - they are fourstrokes bu not as you know them - typical fourstrokes have wet sumps - oil in them or an oil tank and scavanging system - Dry sump.

 

The Stihl ones I have seen are the spawn of beelzebub and run on two mix!

It could of course be fuel starvation. I had a Honda 4t blower in yesterday which would not get to full revs. Everything checked out OK so stripped, cleaned and re kitted the carb and away it went.

you,ve got yourself a bargin ruddy good blower far better than any stihl one also quietier more powerfuland you dont need petrol/oil mix for it and also more economical

good rescue from a skip

i have one and love it
