Getting commercial contracts

Hi I'm looking to try and grow my business this year and as I already do some grass cutting during the season I'm thinking we would be able to handle some bigger jobs. Has any one any advice on how to go about getting in to bigger company's ect? Look forward to hearing any helpfull advice

I've found it's not what you know but who you know in getting your foot in the door!

 

I've got parish councils, Business centres, sub to one of the country's biggest landscape firm and do a bit for a borough council all through people I know or knew.

its knocking on doors i do work for parish councils. but all the grass contracts signed and given out for year best time is november ready for the next year but parishes normaly award it for 3 years. and can if happy with contractor and price has not gone up extend it.

as for larger firms its asking if they need any sub contractors.

and getting in even if its one job foots in door and may bring more in. but not easy.

That's kind of what I was thinking get a foot in the door do a good job and you should get more work out of it
