Hi I have just turned 24 years old and am leaving the forces late summer . I am looking to join the industry and have looked at a course with tkf which is 4 weeks long , I will be using my enhanced learning credit to part pay for the course and am looking for any advice before I part with the money to pay for it . I have my c+e is there any other course I should look at which will help me in the industry

Thanks mate had a look there looks like good stuff . Have you found work ok since completing the course

I did a few days as a subbie. But as I didn't have any kit I wasn't making massive amounts, just killing some time during resettlement leave.

It paid enough for me to get some trousers & boots (Oregon waipoua & Stein shadows) < there're probably the cheapest ppe you can as a start. Also got a silky (zubat).

I then answered an ad on here and now I'm working full time, and I got put through my PTS so I can work on the railway.

I did all my resettlement through TKF. Awesome lads, Brilliant experienced instructors and good facilities, everyone is really friendly and approachable. I'd highly recommend TKF. Did the basic arborist course with them.

Good stuff how was funding work after the course ?
