Reallistically, the amount of time I'll be using this saw, not really! For everyday felling work, I have an 066, this is more for planking, which is going to be a very occasional thing, hobby sorta thing. I have some gel AV gloves which I'll be wearing too!! I grew up using Pioneers, w/o any chainsaw protection, before the days of chainsaw protection, its a wonder I aint stone deaf too!!

thats cool what is it an 070 or 090? my mate is sorting me out an 070 over christmas for planking.

Proper old school 090, dunno her age, perhaps if anyone knows how I can date her I'll find out. Going to test run her tomorrow, earplugs in bowline!! you'll probably hear her from yours!

awesome! that is a tiny bar for such a big saw. hope she runs well for you. what fuel mix do the older saws run on? is it still 50:1?

Its a topper!!:hahaha: & I've got to check fuel mix ratio.

I'll be changing the bar for probably a 36" bar, maybe larger. Jst got to check it runs ok tomorrow before I spend any more on it!

Should still be 50:1 the reason we use less oil now,used to be 25:1, is that the new oil is better.
