hi every one i have a partner r-16 chainsa and it is in good nick can any body tell me how i can take points and condenser out altogether and put electronic ignition in and what i need to do the job

Havent done one yet but have several engines that run beautifully with points. Nova are the modules i've seen used in a few you tube conversion vids.

Billsmowers on here has done a few i think.

This kind of system on ebay would probably be the easiest way to do it for not much money.

You will need a Nova 2 Solid state ignition unit . I have used them successfully, but not for many years now.
