Hello,

Im after some advice on a fungus, I have lent my ident books out so Im stuck!

The fungus I have is a bracket fungus found 2' from ground level at the base of a willow tree. The fungus has a distictive purple top when rubbed clean, The under side is brown pores. The trees the fungus are on are in decline with one of them being dead I cant see any other fruiting bodies.

Does any one have an idea from the discription?

Thanks

Josh
