Fuel mix help

Took the saw apart today and the spark plug didnt appear to have much oil on it, so will take it that it would be fine to continue with the 1:50 mix instead of the started 1:25 mix.

Is there anything else that should be checked before using the newer mix/anything I should keep an eye on to prevent the saw "clogging" up from this use of the wrong fuel mix?

What do you intend using the newer new saw for and is it likely to be used everyday or occasionally. Everyday, go for the 555 - occasionally, go for the 545. The 545 will in theory take a 20" bar, though I reckon it might struggle. Whereas the 555 will handle the same bar with ease, (longest quoted bar is 24"). The 555 a bit more weight but then you're getting more power too.
