Whatever saw you get, make sure you buy some chainsaw trousers, boots and a helmet to go with it; and ideally get some training or at least someone who knows what they're doing to run you through using it safely :thumbup1:

 

Good shout, I had to buy all my own gear before my dad would show me! Would not let me use his, so bought my own :sneaky2:

Cheers guys, yes its for firewood, whats the difference between stihl and husqvarna?

 

Husqvarna - higher rpm, lighter machine, less power for engine size and smaller max bar length

 

Stihl - lower rpm, heavier machine, higher power for engine size and can pull a longer bar
