Whatever saw you get, make sure you buy some chainsaw trousers, boots and a helmet to go with it; and ideally get some training or at least someone who knows what they're doing to run you through using it safely

Good shout, I had to buy all my own gear before my dad would show me! Would not let me use his, so bought my own

Cheers guys, yes its for firewood, whats the difference between stihl and husqvarna?

 

Husqvarna - higher rpm, lighter machine, less power for engine size and smaller max bar length

 

Stihl - lower rpm, heavier machine, higher power for engine size and can pull a longer bar
