firewood pile is a crime!but if you get offered less than firewood price i can see your point,,,woodturners need to pay a fair price for the timber,,,I`m fortunate that we do tree work and crafts,,so understand the value of the end product and its potential end value,after labour! something to remember is that not all woodturners are old guys with bushy eyebrows,who are retired and dont want to pay much,as its there hobby,

getting your timber to a woodturner who sells lots and has a better out source is key!

I keep saving my Yew (plus various other timber) and have around 10 tonnes in the hope that some one will want it, it would be a sin to cut it for firewood.
